In this Photos , Earth & Moon Stars Like Twins

Space explorer satellite owned United States Space Agency (NASA), the Messenger, taking pictures of Earth orbiting the Moon.
Photos black background filled with dots and white dots were taken from a distance of 114 million miles from Earth.

In the picture it looks like the Earth and Moon 'twin stars' - where the moon of course is smaller than Earth. Stunning photographs that illustrate how small we are compared to the universe.

These extraordinary images were taken in the Messenger mission to find vulcanoid - small rocky objects that scientists believed to be in orbit between Mercury and the Sun.

However, although there was no detectable vulcanoid, rocket Messenger was in a unique position to seek a small and dim objects that previously could not have predicted.

Messenger looking for vulcanoids when the orbit plane closest to the Sun. Messenger follows the contours of the inner solar system, including the Earth, Venus, and Mercury.

Messenger by using the gravity of Earth and Venus will gradually change its orbit before moving to Mercury's orbit in March 2011.
